Golden - The Forest
Golden
Deep in the heart of the forest
There is a lake of gold
35 mighty oaks abreast
It tis a grand sight to behold
It is on this scene
of unearthly glory
Where we bring
The Tragedy of poor dear Delila Dorly
As a young girl it was always she
Who swam fastest and longest
In the manmade sea
For the New Log City Swimming Contest
And here she stands
In spite of all the warnings from mother to daughter
Having removed her pants
And waded deep into the water
It is all at once cold and calming
Cruel and benevolent
Warm and unnerving
All together Tranquil and violent
In an instant she is ripped
Leaving not the slightest wake
As her auburn hair is dipped
Forever below the surface of the lake
She screams and screams and screams
But never does she bother
The cold and tranquil scene
Of the golden water
